Description

The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "German publicity postcard for the Austrian actor Adolf Wohlbruck. As a Jewish homosexual, he made the wise decision to settle in the UK in 1936, changing his name to Anton Walbrook. He enjoyed a long film career, famously acting the part of Prince Albert in the 1938 cinematic version of the life of Queen Victoria ('Sixty glorious years') which starred Anna Neagle in the title role".
