Description

COMPENDIUM libri cabalistico-chymici Artephius seu Aesch Mezareph dicti de Lapide Philosophorum. With two short commentaries: in Latin. Followed by two other alchemical tracts in German, and extracts, also in German, from Johann Schröder's 'Artzney-Schatz der Medizin'. The fourth work is illustrated with pen-drawings of sigils. The first four works are written by the same hand: the last two, by different but contemporary scribes. At the end of the last tract, there is an alchemical receipt by the same hand as MS. No. 2659 [H.(G.C.)].

1 volume 2 bl. ll. + 120 ff. last 20 bl.. 4to. 191/2 x 16 cm. Original vellum binding, with two green silk ties. A foliation has been added in pencil.
