Description

Impressions from three seals. The seal on the left is is Babylonian, made of soapstone and incised with an image of two worshippers and three columns of cuneiform inscription. It was purchased at auction by the Museum in 1931 and accessioned in 1937 (accession number R482/1937). The middle seal is Babylonian, made of haematite and incised with images of three standing deities. It was purchased at auction by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1933 and accessioned in 1938 (R2309/1938). The right seal was acquired by the Museum at an unknown point and given accession number A167903
