Notes

This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "An unidentified competitor in a male beauty pageant or bodybuilding competition. He is posed as a classical statue on a plinth, and is wearing Greco-Roman sandals. The fig-leaf has been added. Typical of the kind of explicitly sexual imagery that became associated with Paris in the 1920s and 1930s."
