About this work

Description

Pontecorvo explains his reason for considering a move is the fact that he has "the whole burden of running a Department without the corresponding salary and title of Professor". Also includes the response letter from Pearsall explaining how he is more interested in filling the position of Lecturer in Taxonomy with someone with extensive knowledge of cytogenetics and who is well aquainted with British flora. For that reason he could not accept Pontecorvo as a suitable candidate for this position.
