Description

Reproduction of an oval-shaped portrait of Sir John Simon KCB FRS FRCS (10 October 1816 – 23 July 1904), English pathologist, surgeon and public health officer. He was the first Chief Medical Officer for Her Majesty's Government from 1855–1876. The portrait is captioned "John Simon, C.B., F.R.S. (From a Portrait taken in 1876)".
