Description
The writer's views and opinions on matters concerning principles of orthodoxy and conformity - burning questions in his day. The passage is headed "Grounds of the Judgement and practise touching private conformity & communion with Parochiall Churches."
On fo. 55 verso, "Master Cartwright" is mentioned. This may be one of three divines of that surname, each of whom played a part in the religious controversies of the time, Christopher (1602-1658) who vindicated the Protestants, William (1611-1643), or Thomas (1634-1689), Bishop of Chester (fo. 54-57). Folios 68-80 blank.
