About this work

Description

Correspondence concerning Ministry of Health investigations into water fluoridation, specifically regarding the validity of statistical data showing a link between fluoridation and incidences of Down's syndrome.

The initial correspondence is between H Watson and Egon Sharpe Pearson; Pearson recommends that Watson contact Penrose for further advice, and henceforth correspondence is between Watson and Penrose. This concerns previous research conducted in Europe and the USA, discussion of the enclosed report "Mongolism and Fluoride Water", and advice on conducting further statistical studies.
