The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "‘Gaby’ [one of many imitators of the French revue star Gaby Deslys} reading Jules Vernes ‘Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea’, comfortably seated in a deck chair in the garden in full drag consisting of a very chic belted and high waisted suit, shoes with ‘lavatory’ heels, and a great deal of make-up."
