Four images on one negative of Sir Charles Scott Sherrington (1857-1952) English neurophysiologist. Two photographs show him with Harvey Cushing (1869-1939) American neurosurgeon and pathologist, and Lynn Thorndike (1882-1965) American historian. One photograph is of Sherrington and Arnold C. Klebs (1870-1943) Swiss physician. One photograph is of Sherrington and Cushing. The images are from a Leica film taken by Professor Beattie at the Royal College of Surgeons in July 1938 during an International Congress. The film was lent to Sir Henry Dale, Chairman of the Wellcome Trustees.
