About this work

Description

The sixth in a 6-part series about complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). This part looks at whether or not CAM therapies could be successfully married with mainstream NHS practices. We visit the Marylebone Health Centre where the general practitioners are very successfully using a combination of traditional and alternative treatments. But in this scenario, will CAM always come second place to traditional medicine? Will the NHS be limited in terms of which CAM therapies it can support? And finally, if CAM were integrated into mainstream medicine, would it lose some of its appeal to those seeking a more 'natural' treatment for their ills?
