Description

Dr. Mark Porter and his studio guest Fred Cavalier discuss the latest developments in genetic research. Leslie Hilton reports on two families currently undergoing tests to see if they carry the gene for sickle cell aneamia and investigates the ways in which hospitals now carry out genetic tests. The programme also investigates online genetic testing and the possibility of genetic testing becoming a routine part of medicals before getting insurance or even a job.
