Description
Pruriginous Impetigo following Varicella
Prurigo is an itchy eruption on the skin and Impetigo is a bacterial skin infection, the two together present as a red itchy contagious skin rash. The notes on the illustration indicate the condition may have erupted following the viral infection varicella (chicken pox) or perhaps the varicella vaccine.
Skin diseases. Lithographs and watercolours, 1878-1888.
