"Containing firstly, Paul Jewett's Farriery, in four parts, wherein most of the diseases which horses, neat cattle, sheep, and swine are liable to, are treated of, in 41 pages ; secondly, a collection of brutal receipts, many of which are valuable, 23 pages ; thirdly, a very valuable collection of receipts for human diseases, 90 pages ; fourthly, receipts by a very learned, skilful, and pious English author, 100 pages ; fifthly, an extraordinary English author of great experience and information on neat cattle, sheep, swine, asses, mules, dogs &c., 82 pages ; sixthly, a large number of valuable receipts from Capt. Joseph Smith, of Exeter, and others, on different creatures, but especially horses ; seventhly, a very large number of miscellaneous receipts, on various subjects, useful for farmers and mechanics ; last of all, Doct. J. Williams' Family physician, 24 pages ; this man was two years with the Indians, and was assisted in that time by a young Indian educated at one of our best medical colleges."
