About this work
Description
Crick began his association with the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, a privately-funded research institution based at La Jolla, California, from its founding (1960). He became a non-resident Fellow in 1962, travelling there more or less annually until 1976. From 1976-77, Crick was Ferkhauf Foundation Visiting Professor, and from 1977 his position there became permanent with his appointment as J W Kieckhefer Distinguished Research Professor.
The files in PP/CRI/C comprise correspondence material from the Institute's beginnings. The papers relate, in the main, to administrative and policy matters. Papers relating to specific academic meetings can be found in PP/CRI/E (Travels and Meetings).
