Description

The programme contains four features. First is a report from San Francisco State University on 3 new planets seen to be circling a star in the Andromeda galaxy. The second item is on the origins of life - Tracy Logan speaks to Prof. Stanley Miller and a group of scientists at NASA. The third item is on the Forsyte Programme and includes an interview with Lord Sainsbury. Prof. John Wood talks about new metals including the possibility of foaming body armour. The final item is on the Wellcome Trust Sci-Art funded project to follow the activity in artists' brains as they work. Researcher John Cholenko and artist Humphrey Ocean describe their involvment with this project. Roger Highfield discusses research into artistic creation in general.
