About this work

Description

Chris Darwin, great-great-grandson to Charles Darwin travels to the Galapagos islands, one hundred and seventy years after the voyage that was to do so much to shape Darwin's theories of evolution. Chris Darwin's contemporary account of the islands is interspersed with Charles Darwin's own observations as recorded in his journals. Chris Darwin also reflects on how life has been growing up in the shadow of such famous ancestry.
