About this work

Description

This public information film made by the COI was created to prepare members of the public for survival in the event of a nuclear war. A leaflet was distributed with the same title (examples are in the Wellcome Library) but the video was initially suppressed. It later surfaced and is used in excerpts in the BBC drama 'Threads' (also in the library) which follows the fate of a group of people from Sheffield close to where a nuclear bomb hits.
