Description
Part of a series of programmes in which Jim Al-Khalili, Professor of Physics at Surrey University, talks to leading scientists about their life and work. This part features Professor Colin Blakemore who was the youngest ever Reigh lecturer and has always been an influential science communicator, dedicated to raising the profile of research into the brain. He was appointed Head of the Medical Research Council in 2003. He has also spoken out against animal rights, the classification of drugs and GM foods. His current areas of research include how the brain develops, autism and schizophrenia.
