About this work
Description
Dr. Michael Morgan from the Wellcome Trust, and Dr. Gareth Jones from South Cambridgeshire District Council, discuss the Wellcome Trust's proposed site for a new research campus for the human genome project. Planning permission was refused and a public enquiry followed. Dr. Morgan would like the new campus to be close to an already existing Wellcome Trust lab, but Dr. Jones points out that this would be contrary to the local government development plan which aims to protect the countryside.
