About this work

Description

The video reports on the emotional and medical issues attached to genital warts. The programme seeks to enlighten professionals on some of the practical ways to consider genital warts: their symptoms, its siting in the body and side effects. The health specialists give descriptions of how the warts are spread and what steps can be taken to look after one’s health when living with genital warts. Patients are asked about their experiences, how they felt when diagnosed and the treatment. The programme shows how patients cope with genital warts. The incubation period, a period without warts on the surface of the body, is discussed by both patients and health experts. The programme considers general sexual health advice, including issues such as protected sex, treatment of partners, abstinence and consent. The VHS tape includes a GUM advice pamphlet.
