Arms, jobs and the crisis.

"This pamphlet is based on two conferences, mainly of trade union delegates, held in February 1975 … The text of the pamphlet has been compiled from the conference discussions, and a little new material added (mainly news which has appeared since the conference) by Betty England, Secretary of London Region CND. We hope the speakers will recognise themselves even if mangled, and we are very grateful to them for their work. CND as such has no policy on general economic questions, but it has of course on disarmament, and we hope the pamphlet will contribute to a very necessary public debate on the relation between the two. It has been submitted as a discussion document to the Labour Party National Executive Committee Study Group on defence expenditure, the arms trade and alternative employment."-- From inside front cover.
