Petero is a 13-year-old boy from a remote village in rural Uganda who has a rare cranio-facial condition in which his skull is crushing his brain and if left untreated will eventually kill him. He is flown to Dallas, Texas, where he spends 7 months undergoing cranio-facial surgery. This trip changes not only his appearance but his perception of himself as it is hard to return to village life after the luxuries of America. Includes quite detailed footage of Petero's 3 operations.
