    83. Presentment that the same John obstructed a watercourse in the same highway thereby flooding the lands of John Exton and others in the parish of Cottered. 84. Indictment of Matthias Nixon for delivering a counterfeit note from John Eldridge chief constable of the hundred of Edwinstree to Valentine Lee chief constable of the same hundred and upon which the said Matthias received £2 12s. 6d. Endorsed:—Ordered that the said Matthias be whipped on Tuesday 12 Jtly 1709 at the public whipping post at Hertford and stand in the pillory at Hertford the Saturday following and at Eoyston the next Wednesday sevennight for two (sic) hours between 12 and 1. 87. 11 July. Presentment that the highway in Standon called Coney Court Way to a place called Slough Eield Gate for a length of 400 yards is out of repair and that the inhabi- tants of Standon and Edward Elderton surveyor of the said parish ought to repair the same. 88. Presentment of Thomas Brown of Hertford Heath for having a casting net lor taking fish, he not having an estate of the value of 100L BUNDLE for 1710. 108. 9 July. Presentment of William Sheeperd of Albury for not scouring a watercourse running by his ground leading from the high- way at a place called the Warren Gate in Furneaux Pelham whereby the highway is almost impassable. 119. Presentment of Robert Hudson of Tewin for enclosing a portion of the waste belonging to the lord and tenants of the manor of Tewinbury at a place called Tewin Upper Green containing in length two poles and in width two poles.
