    Presentment that John Dowton of Little Munden has made a stank* in the common highway at the end of Dane End Street which turns the water into the said highway. 103. 28 April. Presentment of Edward Swayne of Offley for working with his team on the last fast day and for not going to church or any other place of religious worship for one month. 107, 110, 114, 14 July. Presentment of Humphrey Gyllams and 136, 137, 138, & 164. others for not keeping watch and ward. Presentment that a narrow common highway from Dane End in Little Munden parish to Sacomb pound in the parish of Little Munden lodges the water so that people cannot pass for the space of twenty poles and that the parish of Little Munden ought to repair and lay open the said high- way. 133. Indictment of James Nicholls of Watton-at-Stone for steal- ing from the ponds and rivers of Philip Boteler, six trout, value 10(7. Order that he be well whipped at the market place, Hertford. 159. 20 November. Presentment that the highway in the parish of Standon from Little Munden to Ware for the space of 100 poles in length, called Boarne, is out of repair and that the inhabitants of Standon ought to repair the same. 162. Presentment that a certain fence between the orchard of John Webster of Stanstead and a certain piece of common land called Tays Grove in the parish of Stanstead was thrown down and that the said John Webster ought to re-erect it. 163. Presentment that a certain fence between the lands of George Burley of Bishops Hatfield and a certain common meadow (quoddam commune pratum) called High Mead in the parish of Essendon was thrown down for a length of 40 poles and that the said George Burley ought to re-erect the same. * Stank, a dam.
