![[Copy.] Local Government Board, Whitehall, S.W., 19^/i February, 1902. Sir, I am directed by tlie Local Government Board to state that they observe that there has been an outbreak of 'Smallpox in the City of Liverpool, and I am to request that the Board may be furnished with a Report by the Medical Officer of Health on the subject. The Report should contain information as to the number of non-fatal as well as of fatal cases, and the circumstances in which they have occurred, and as to the measures taken by the Council or the Medical Officer of Health for checking the spread of the disease.
