    [ *3 ] ing the government of this State, with any two of the com- miiTioncis of the Health-Office, may in writing under their hands, permit all (uch manufacturers of Soap and Candles to remain and exerciie their faid trades, within the City of New-York, to the fouthward of the bounds, or line defig- natcd in the fifth fcftion of the aft entitled, An aft to amend the aft, entitled an aft to prevent the bringing in and fpreading of infeftious difeafesin this State, any thing in the aft to the contrary notwithftanding. Provided nevertheUfs, that fuch permits may, in the difcretion of the perfons having authority to give the lame, be granted to fuch Starch-makers whofc manufactories are not fituated to the fouthward of frefh water, which certificate fhall remain in force until the perfon adminiftering the government of this State, and any two of the faid commiffioners fhall by writing under their handsL fupercede thefame,on its appearing to them that fuch permiffi- on hath been abufed, and ought to be withdrawn ; and until notice in writing, that the fame is fuperceded, hath been ferved on the perfon in whofe favor the certificate was granted, or left at his or her dwelling houlo, and a copy of fuch. notice fixed up in the clerk's office of the laid city ; Pro- vided nevertheless, that no Tallow fhall be rendered with- in the faid limits, prefcribed by the aft above mentioned, from the fifteenth day of May, to the firfl day of Novem- ber in each year. And lie it further tnatltd, That the flreet, called in the faid aft Grant-ftreet, was intended and fhall be conftrued to moan 6'ra/u/-ftreet : and that the flreet therein called Mulbcrry-ftreet, was intended, and fhall be conftrued to mean Mulbeny-fLreet, as the fame ftreets are delineated on a map of the city of New-York, lately pubhfhsd by David LoiiCTWorth in the laid City.
