What you’ll do

Come and hear about the invaluable work of Anne Laybourne, whose practice is dedicated to improving older adults’ quality of life. Anne is a social gerontologist motivated to enhance the experience of ageing through research. Her talk will range from a falls-prevention collaboration with the fire and rescue services, to direct payments for care support, to her current study in care homes.

We’ll be in the Reading Room on level 2. You can walk up the spiral staircase to the Reading Room door, or take the lift up and then head left from the Library Desk.

About your researcher

Anne Laybourne

Dr Anne Laybourne’s PhD is in Gerontology, and her ongoing research is in the health services area. She is currently Community Research Manager at UCL, and also manages the MARQUE study, which aims to increase knowledge around raising quality of life in older adults living with dementia, including the care-home sector.
